What

First and foremost, this is an unproven method of choosing when to enter and exit a position. Since back-testing is used to produce the models future results may not reflect or produce expected returns.

Update:
1) as of 3PM the models have not changed

Sold The Seven; Earlier Than Normal

I sold the seven ETFs in the paper account, as stated in yesterday's post.  I usually wait until 3:30 to make a transaction occur in the account but today I decided to do it at 1:55, which in hindsight looks like a good move.

10 of 10 Models Are Now Bullish

The present 8 bearish models became bullish with today's sell-off.  There were 2 models already on the bullish side:  SP 500, based on SPXL, and Finance, based on FAS.

This is scary because since last Friday several TA bloggers have made references to the "Hindenburg Omen" such as ... Hindenburg Omen Now Official - Second Signal In 4 Days

Since I'm only dealing with paper money for this experiment I am really not too concerned.  So as usual, sometime Wednesday afternoon the 8 ETFs will be purchased in the paper account.

Overnight Numbers Do Not Create Sell Signal

Yesterday afternoon I blogged that the last 2 models went to a sell indicator;  this was using the 1PM numbers as closing numbers.

Well the numbers didn't hold up, probably becuase of the sell-off late in the day.  So the count still holds at 2 Bulls and 8 Bears.
